Mental health should be part of the mainstream – my goal
The Covid pandemic had a profound effect on the mental health of the people. In addition to the fact that in many respects the mental health system, which is at a very low ebb, is completely weakened. Many of the mentally ill in these situations are in need of medical care and their families are facing many difficulties, discrimination and anxiety. If mental health treatment can be provided to all in such situations, it will not only eliminate many inequalities but also bring many benefits to society. Because talking about mental health is still considered a shame in our society.
That is why my dream as a psychologist is that mental health should become part of the mainstream of life. As such, the goal behind mental health being a mainstream way of life is to bring everyone’s views under one roof. If we talk about the rights of those who suffer from mental illness when mental health is at the crossroads right now it is a sign of something. It signals that not only the mental health of an individual but also the mental health of the whole society is good. However, we try to create awareness among the people about general health as well as mental health. Does this kind of awareness mean providing a better lifestyle for everyone in the whole society?
The first step is to ask if we need help but that is the hardest part.
Recognizing that mental health is not good and that it requires appropriate treatment is a very difficult possible factor. That is why it is important to think that we need actual treatment before we know what treatment is available for mental health. Usually people do not accept that their mental health is not good. However, it requires the support of family and friends. Mental health can be fully achieved by taking proper medical treatment with their help.
Psychotherapy – Counseling
Psychotherapy is a treatment provided by expert mental health professionals to improve mental health. In psychotherapy, a person’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are identified and analyzed so that they can be improved. In addition, in some cases, combination therapy with psychotherapy may improve the results. Therapies offered under Psychotherapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Relaxation Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Dialistic Behavioral Therapy.
Good mental health for all in the society means that the whole society is good and productive. Therefore, let us work for the mental health of all in our society.
